Why 4tuneMusic Exists

A new generation of music creators expects real-time evidence.
Music Rights Societies have the historic opportunity to deliver it.

The world has moved to instant data. Streaming dashboards show plays in real time. Payments move across borders in seconds. Venues register events digitally. The next generation of authors, composers and music publishers has grown up in this reality — and brings these expectations to the way their music is recognized and rewarded.

Music Rights Societies have built powerful systems for radio, TV and streaming. The physical world — clubs, festivals, restaurants, hotels and events — has historically been harder to capture with the same precision.

4tuneMusic is being built to help close this gap, with verified real-world music usage data that complements existing systems and helps Music Rights Societies modernize where it matters most — without changing what already works.

The Opportunity

The same precision Music Rights Societies built for radio and streaming —
now extending to the physical world.

Music Rights Societies have built powerful systems for radio, TV and streaming. That achievement is the foundation on which the global music economy depends — shaping how billions of plays become royalties every year. The physical world — clubs, festivals, restaurants, hotels, events — has historically been harder to capture in real time. Not because it was overlooked, but because the technology was not yet ready. That is changing now.

The next chapter

for collective rights management lies in real-time, verified usage data — extending the precision of digital channels into the physical world, step by step, in partnership with Music Rights Societies.

Millions

of venues worldwide where music plays daily — restaurants, clubs, hotels, events — a future opportunity for collective rights management to be present with the same precision as in digital channels.

“One technology — currently in development — is designed to change all of this.

The Technology We Are Building

A chip the size of a 1-cent coin.
Built for the entire music economy.

Attach once. Online immediately.

The chip is designed to be installed at any location where music plays. Once attached — immediately online. If removed — the Music Rights Society will be notified instantly.

Real-time AI recognition

Our AI system is designed to identify every track the moment it plays. Composer, author, rights status — recognized and recorded in real time. Every play. Every time.

Extending the precision into the physical world

Our system is being designed to bring the same precision Music Rights Societies achieve in radio and streaming to the physical world — clubs, festivals, restaurants, hotels and events — through real-time recognition and verified usage data, in partnership with Music Rights Societies.

Precise, usage-based data

Royalties can be calculated on actual, recognized usage — work by work, play by play. Verified data designed to support fair and transparent settlement, fully under the authority of the Music Rights Society.

“This is not a competing system. This is the infrastructure designed to extend what Music Rights Societies have built — into the next chapter of the music economy.

The Vision

One technology.
Built to serve the music economy through Music Rights Societies.

For Authors & Composers

Music Rights Societies have always existed for one reason: to make sure that those who create music are recognized and rewarded for its use. Our technology is being developed to extend that mission into the physical world — with verified, real-time usage data that helps Music Rights Societies represent their members with even greater precision. This is the foundation we are building.

For Venues & Events

Music Rights Societies provide the legal framework that allows venues to play music in compliance with rights regulations. Our technology is being designed to make the connection between actual music usage and the corresponding rights transparent — supporting Music Rights Societies in offering venues clear, data-based reporting alongside their established licensing models.

For Music Rights Societies

A complementary technological layer that extends the precision of digital channels into the physical world. Verified usage data, real-time recognition, and immutable documentation — designed to support Music Rights Societies in fulfilling their mandate with the data quality the next generation expects. Always in your authority. Always in partnership.

Personal Note from the Founder

Piero Brunetti

From the Studio to the Future of Music Rights.

I've been a GEMA member since 1987 — first as a songwriter, then as a music author and producer. Over more than three decades, I've watched the music industry transform itself again and again: from vinyl to CD, from CD to streaming, from analog studios to AI-assisted production. Through all of it, Music Rights Societies have done something irreplaceable: they have built the legal and organizational foundation that allows people like me to live from creating music.

Today, a new generation of music creators is growing up in a world of real-time data. They see streaming dashboards update by the hour. They expect to understand where their music is heard. And they bring these expectations to every part of their professional lives.

I believe Music Rights Societies have a remarkable opportunity in front of them: to extend the precision they have built for radio, TV and streaming into the physical world — clubs, festivals, restaurants, hotels and events — where so much of music actually lives.

4tuneMusic is being built to support that journey. Not as a replacement for what works, but as a complementary technology that delivers verified real-world usage data. Together with Music Rights Societies, we want to help make the connection between a song being played and a royalty being earned more visible, more accountable, and closer to real time — step by step, sparte by sparte, always in partnership with the institutions whose mandate this remains.

This is what I believe in. And this is what 4tuneMusic is being built for.

For Music Rights Societies

GEMA. SUISA. AKM. SACEM.
We complete your mandate.

Music Rights Societies have built powerful systems for radio, TV and streaming. 4tuneMusic is being developed to extend that same precision into the physical world — clubs, festivals, restaurants, hotels and events — through real-time recognition and verified usage data documented on a private, permissioned blockchain. Not competition. Partnership.

Real-time data complements existing channels

Our system is being designed to deliver real-time, verified usage data for music played in physical venues — complementing the established processes Music Rights Societies have built for radio, TV and streaming.

Extending precision into the physical world

Restaurants, clubs, hotels, malls, public venues — designed to be captured with the same level of precision Music Rights Societies achieve in their digital channels, step by step, in partnership.

Immutable usage documentation

Every recognized play is documented on a private, permissioned blockchain — auditable, verifiable, and designed as a reliable foundation for the settlement processes that remain in the authority of the Music Rights Society.

Licensing partnership

We plan to license our infrastructure directly to Music Rights Societies. Your mandate. Your members. Our technology. Together.

How It Is Designed to Work

5

Usage documented & made available

Each play is documented on a private, permissioned blockchain — auditable, verifiable, and made available to the Music Rights Society as a reliable foundation for the settlement processes that remain in their authority.

Development Roadmap

From blueprint to reality.
2026 — 2027

Our development timeline. All dates are targets, not guarantees. We prioritize doing it right over doing it fast.

Q1 2026

Blueprint Complete

AI recognition architecture finalized. Chip specifications locked.

Q2 2026

Alpha Development

First working prototype. Lab testing begins.

Q3 2026

Pilot Program

First live venue installations. DACH region deployment.

Q4 2026

Beta Launch

Blockchain settlement infrastructure. First society partnerships.

2027

Scale & Expand

Current Status

Preparing the first formal engagement — starting in Switzerland.

Switzerland is our planned first market. Following the live demonstration in Zurich in summer 2026, we will initiate formal discussions with the Swiss collecting society as our first institutional partner conversation. Additional European societies will follow in subsequent steps, in line with our step-by-step approach. Updates will follow as conversations progress.

Industry Engagement

Building a network of industry voices around our development.

Beyond our planned engagement with collecting societies, we are in active conversations with senior music publishing executives, established music industry advisors, and academic researchers in audio signal processing and music information retrieval. Selected industry voices are providing input and feedback as we develop the system. Confirmed advisors and partner conversations will be announced as discussions reach the appropriate stage.
